Intercultural Day 2024

We had an amazing day last Wednesday celebrating Intercultural day for the first time in Grace Park ETNS. We were delighted to host a variety of workshops from Ghanaian Dancing and drumming to Italian cuisine and French storytelling. We are so grateful to all the parents and friends of GPETNS who gave their time on Wednesday. We had a school community celebration where Segun told us about storytelling and drumming in Nigeria, Ciara and her Dad Fergal treated us to some traditional Irish music supported by Liana and Danielle, Kerry showed us her Irish Dancing skills, Dave's 5th class gave us a snippet of their performance for the World Irish Aid Awards National Finals which they were shortlisted for and will be held in Dublin Castle next month. PEPY Cambodia treated us to a performance of traiditonal Cambodian Dance, they also explained their work in Cambodia a local non-profit and NGO providing personal and professional development training to rural youth in Siem Reap, Cambodia. Nominees from each class level took to the stage to tell the school community about the Sustainable Development Goal they learned about in class. We then staged a sit-down protest for action. The Peace Proms choir then took to the stage to sing "Better Place" through Lámh. The classes explored the sustainable development goals in more detail in the Junior and Senior Assemblies with their classmates.

What a fantastic day! Take a look at the video we made with some photos from the day.
